HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are delighted to confirm that a former fans favourite has returned to the Grove.

Midfield General Ashley Sammons has returned to the Yeltz following his recent departure from Stratford Town.

Sammo completed 41 appearances for the Yeltz scoring 9 goals.

”As soon as we knew Sammo was available we moved very quickly to get him back at the club, Martin Sockett stated, ”he has many qualities which will strengthen the group along with the vast experience he brings”

On his return Ash had this to say, “I am really happy to be back to attend to unfinished business at the club. We are in a really good position and I want to help the team and the club achieve its objective.”

Subject to League approval Ash will be available for selection at Sutton Coldfield Town on Boxing Day.

Player News

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB can confirm that Richard Smith has now recovered from his ankle injury which has kept him off the training ground for over a month.

We have allowed Rich to dual register with Worcester Raiders so he can get back to full fitness, have some much needed match time, and after a month or so assess the situation to establish where we are at before making any further decisions about bringing him back in to the fold, or extending the time with Worcester Raiders, if that is the best option for us both.

We are extremely excited to be working with Oscar.

We are really excited to get Kieren in and involved in the group and I’m sure the Yeltz faithful will see a player who gives everything for the cause.”

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB can confirm that after a meeting with Paul Smith it was mutually agreed that Bailey Fuller will leave the club.
”Timing and circumstances have been against Bailey since he arrived,” Paul stated, ”it’s a shame but just one of those things in football, that not every move works out how we would all like.
He is a great lad and we wish him all the best in his next move.”

All the best for for the future Bailey
